Unboxing The Action Heat 3.7v Socks

Heated Socks Review (ActionHeat): A Great Must-Have Prepper Item? 1

Right away I loved the brand of ActionHeat. The products are put in exciting full-colour boxing, the claims are bold and clear.

With a boast of a maximum heat time of 7 hours, you are sure to stay warm in any situation. The batteries come with a remote control which makes it super simple to start getting warmth when you need it.

On the box, it says that they use a premium cotton blend in their socks.

The wires are hidden in a special woven system, that makes the socks comfortable and the heating elements more durable as they are not exposed.

The 3.7 Volt Batteries for the Heated Socks

At the core of the Action Heat product is their sleek, durable lithium batteries.

You will notice they are all cased in a very nice outer shell that is tactile to the touch.

Each battery comes with a 4 light indicator and a power button on the edge. The USB charging port is located beside the power button.

It is recommended by Action Heat that you do not go below 25% charge for a long time on their batteries to ensure the longest longevity. So when you see your battery low with just one light bar on the indicators, then it’s time to get charging!

Both batteries are identically shaped and either can be swapped for each sock.

They give a “dual cord” micro-USB charging cable to save space when you charge up both batteries from just one USB connection.

The batteries are very slim and light enough that you will forget that they are even there after a while.

To change heat settings you can do that directly on the battery itself by pressing on the power button or using the handy-remote.

The temperature settings for the Action Heat socks are: High, Medium and Low.

On High temperatures can get to 145F and the battery will last 3 hours. On Medium you can get to 125F and the battery life is 5 hours. Lastly, on Low the heat can get to 105F and can last 7 hours!

Action Heat batteries are “tested tough” With the highest UL ratings and rigorous safety testing, ActionHeat is built to last and perform at the highest level.

Underwriters Laboratories (UL) evaluates parameters such as the battery’s chemistry, manufacturing process and testing protocols, to help establish which batteries are the most safe. It is a good thing that Action Heat cares to ensure their batteries are “safe” and that under a lot of abuse and real-life use, they can still safely operate.

The battery connections and how they are housed have some “water resistance” so you should not worry about wearing them in the snow and other stormy weather.

On The ActionHeat Website, it says:

“ActionHeat battery heated apparel utilizes innovative technology designed to warm the core body temperature. These revolutionary garments feature built-in heating panels and are made with ActionFlex material that provides lightweight warmth, comfort, and versatility.”

The Actionflex materials are flexible heating elements that are very low profile. You do not notice them when walking and even the battery itself and cords at the top disappear in a sense as you forget they are there.

The Socks Fit well but are not too tight. They are not rough but soft to the touch. The Heating panels cover the toes so they will stay nice and warm in the coldest of temperatures.

The Socks have a high profile which allows the battery pocket to be out of sight with the skirt.

ActionHeat uses FAR Infrared technology for heating and ActionWave heat reflective technology.

Far infrared (FIR) refers to a specific range within the infrared spectrum of electromagnetic radiation. It even is used in the medical field for deep tissue healing, so if you have a sore or hurt this product could potentially help that also.

Heated Socks Washing Machine Bag

The Socks come with a charging cable that has dual prongs for both batteries being charged at the same time. As well it comes with a nylon washing bag, and it is recommended to wash delicately within this bag. And to hang it dry (do not put it in the dryer).
